Aura-Soma, Hagworthingham

An agricultural processing and research facility for alternative therapy oil and colour products from organically grown plants on site. The sloping site allows for a part basement for temperature controlled storage with ground and first floor accommodation for testing and research laboratories, processing area and admin-istrative facilities. The building has timber composite stud framed walls and roofs with recycled cellulose insulation. Rainwater recycling, a reed bed treatment system and a straw boiler, along with solar panels and passive stack ventilators, give an extremely energy efficient and sustainable building.
