community sports hall Grantham Church High School

New community sports hall with accommodation for teaching, fitness studio and changing rooms, as well as the main hall suitable for four badminton courts. The entrance foyer has a strong visual identity to welcome and direct visitors. The north and east of the building has earth bunding to improve insulation and thermal mass as well as minimising the visual bulk of the main hall from the rear. To the south and west, the visual bulk of the hall is broken by the lower volumes of the entrance and teaching/secondary spaces.
