Sustainable Construction Centre

A competition entry for Sustainable Construction Centre of Excellence located at the Sherwood Energy Village in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. The site was used for coal mining and our design concept is inspired from the sites historical heritage. The building is partially earth sheltered and green roofing systems are also being used. The scheme incorporates passive solar design principles; natural ventilation systems and rainwater recycling. Its focus on environmental issues aims to promote a more sustainable lifestyle.
